As you can see, it is rather different from the hardback! Bloomsbury's marketing teams in the US and the UK really wanted the gecko to star on this edition, and while I was a bit hesitant at first, I must say I am thrilled with the outcome. So much so that I will be getting a necklace made to mark the occasion.*
Release dates for the paperback are still a wee while away
- UK/Eur: Feb 23rd
- US/Can: April 25th
- Aus/NZ: May 30th
If you're keen to get your hands on a copy when its released, please consider pre-ordering it, e.g. direct from Bloomsbury, via Bookshop.org, in store at your favourite bookshop, or anywhere books are sold.
Pre-orders are hugely helpful for authors. So if you decide to do that, and would like a signed / personalised bookplate sticker to put into the copy when it arrives, please let me know - click on the Contact tab to send me a message (or drop me an email). Once I have all your details, I'll post a sticker to you.
And don't worry, the hardback, e-book, and audiobook editions will remain available, if you prefer any of those formats. If buying is not an option for you, please consider borrowing it from your local library. I spent every weekend of my childhood at the library. The thought that I now have two book-babies on library shelves fills me with joy.
*For those of you who don't know, I also had a custom necklace made for Science and the City. Weird / fun / surprising necklaces are kinda my thing)
